Finding Sasquatch
For the Video Project, we were given a list of various requirements. Due to many days of exploration before actually beginning, we learned about many different skills. The skills we analyzed were different camera angles, different lighting, and rules of different shots. For example, one scene might follow the rule of thirds, include soft lighting, and also a full body shot. All of those are vital to make just one clip or even one photograph. Not only did we learn about the skills, but we also examined new video editing softwares and learned about how to use them. Overall, I learned a lot in this project and I also had a blast. Another source we used to get back ground information about documentaries and documentary producing was watching the documentaries called, “Exit Through the Gift Shop,” and “Blackfish.” Something I loved most about this project was editing all of the footage. It was fun adding music and other effects that make the video even more poppy and pleasing. Something I would do differently for this project was to have a plan before I started filming. I think that it’d be a lot more productive to know what I was filming and I’d get my work done a lot quicker. Other than that, I feel like I did a decent job at this project.

Project Description: For this project, we were allowed to design and produce our very own projects. We were allowed to choose any subject in art to focus on as long as we presented a good project proposal. For mine, I chose to use oil pastels to make a canvas with lots of poppy squares. In the beginning, I wanted to fill the entire canvas. Towards the end, I decided that I wouldn't have enough time to fill up every inch. I decided to make my piece look like tetris. By far, one of the coolest projects we have ever done!!
Reflection:
1.) What does it really mean to be a 21st century learner?
In my opinion, to be a 21st Century learner, it means to learn about all kind of resources and know how to use it. For almost all of my projects, I like to tie in a creative attributes whereas I usually find my self creating an art piece rather than an essay. Learning how to use oil pastels is just more knowledge I can use to create even more amazing projects.
2.) Are you more prepared for your future (at Animas High School or in General) after this project?
After this project I do believe I am more prepared for my future. Especially at Animas, we create a whole lot of projects. As I said above, I love incorporating art into each and every one of my projects. Now that I have learned not only how to use oil pastels, but also how to research, I feel that I will have more experience with both of these subjects and that's important for future work assignments/projects.

Teacher Creature Project
In this project, we took a teacher at our school and transformed them into a creature. In the beginning, we emailed the teachers with a list of questions that would be useful for creating a creature that reflects who they are. In this project, the biggest challenge I came across was making sure that I had the right amount of layers. It took a while to get to the right amount of layers needed but I achieved it. My favorite part about this project was the freedom we had. We could chose ANY creature we wanted to use and that was really cool. This project has taught me that I have really great time management. I was never stressed and I turned my project in on time. Overall this project was awesome and I can’t wait to use these photoshop skills in my future.
